Squarespace to Shopify website
Fitzroy Frame Makers
The plan for the Fitzroy Frame Makers website was always to open an online store to sell their artisan handcrafted ready-made frames. We made a Squarespace site in anticipation of later opening an online store that the team could then self-manage. But… there was a problem! They wanted their customers to be able to upload their artwork so that they could see what the finished product would look like. Sadly, at this point, this is beyond the capabilities of a Squarespace store. So the search began for a solution.
After much searching and experimenting we found a solution in Shopify and one of its apps. This meant that customer could upload their image and pass it to Fitzroy Frame Makers to print and place in one of their beautiful frames. This app integrated beautifully with Shopify and we set about migrating the website to the new platform.
We managed to retain the look and feel of the website that the team had DIY-ed on Squarespace and bring it over to a completely different platform that will support the next phase of their online offer.
All care was tasked to import customer lists and shift the email marketing to Shopify. Each product was set up to ensure that SEO was at the forefront of their presence. Making it easy for the customer to connect with their new product offers. The result is a beautiful website that reflects the elegant and bespoke nature of the Fitzroy Frame Makers’ artisan work.
