early education wordpress website rebuild

Sydney Early Education Centres

This project was thoughtfully put together when our client outgrew their previous Wordpress website build. The backend of the original Wordpress website was broken, the front end had lots of alignment issues and was not mobile-friendly (at all!). We were beginning to have issues trying to fix things - so we knew that we had to start afresh. Because this website was Wordpress we were able to lift all of the content that we wanted to keep off the old website and transfer it to a new build.

After agreeing that it was time to rebuild, we began to set a creative direction for this new website. We aimed to create a more sophisticated approach to the design and create a Wordpress website that gave our families a better UX experience. The team at Sydney Early Education Centre surveyed their community to help shape this direction.

I wrote the copy to focus on the way that SEEC views children as capable humans from the get-go. The aim was to connect with parents in an elevated way. There is no kiddy talk here. With the parents as decision makers for using the SEEC Service, the copy was written to connect families to the values that this Service has to offer. This refresh was fast becoming a major rebuild as it took shape. This saw us expand on the pages, improving our keyword reach and completely repositioning the blog.

Kushla from Studio Cahoots shaped an incredible design around the words that I’d created. With a softened more earthy colour palate, complimentary unique-looking icons and a dynamic layout.

I brought Lara onboard, from Lara Pritchard Digital, to set the direction of the build. This included creating a fresh new Wordpress backend, migrating the existing blogs, managing page redirects and providing us with a fast and reliable website that delivered to the Google Gods standard. Lara helped us to create a fast and SEO-friendly website that was responsive on all devices.

My client has seen an incredible difference in the speed of their website as well as expanding on their organic search traffic. The website is so visually appealing now and creates strong connections with both current families and families looking to engage with this early learning service.

It is quite literally a dream boat of a website, built by an incredible all-woman team.
